This term

This 1/2 term we have embarked upon a unit of work investigating our family, our homes and our place in history. The children have started off the year learning all about the children within our class family. We have learnt about each other as well as ourselves, what we are good at and what we enjoy. 

The children have spent alot of time looking at faces and investigating their own faces as well as making crazy faces. The children have loved this work so we have spent alot of time on crazy faces and the work of Picasso.

We have also explored the children's interests and we have been able to adjust our setting to meet those.We have loved remote control car play, so have set up tunnels and bridges to drive under and through.

As our first look at the past, in the forthcoming weeks, we will look at the generations within our families and items from different homes old and new. We will be working with parents to set up a class museum of old and new.
