Dog Therapy
At Havannah we work with Pets As Therapy, a national charity, who enhance health and wellbeing in the community through the visits of trusted volunteers with their behaviourally assessed animals. They provide a visiting service in hospitals, hospices, nursing and care homes, schools and a variety of other venues all across the UK. We are lucky enough to have regular visits from Vesna Price, and Labrador, Alfie, through the Read2dogs scheme. This scheme aims to improve literacy in children by developing their confidence, interest and enjoyment in reading.

This service can be accessed through discussions with our SENCo, Mrs Slater-Baynes, if deemed appropriate.
