Physical Education
At Havannah, Physical Education and sport have a vital role to play in the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of children. It is important in giving children the knowledge, understanding and the tools to make informed choices about healthy living and have a positive impact on their own health and well-being. The physical education curriculum at Havannah Primary School, aims to provide for pupils’ increasing self- confidence through an ability to manage themselves successfully in a variety of situations. It intends to allow children to develop their skills and abilities in different sports following a systematic teaching cycle to allow for progression of skills. It provides meaningful links to other areas of the curriculum and to national and international agendas.
Above is an overview of coverage for PE at Havannah Primary School. Our PE Policy (attached below) contains in-depth detail on how Physical Education is implemented and delivered within our school.
